Case Study - University of Western Sydney Multi-Purpose Building

University of Western SydneyThe University Of Western Sydney Multi-Purpose Building was built to house only senior campus staff and multi use classrooms and teaching environments.


The Building Management Control System (BMCS) controls & monitors HVAC equipment throughout the building and monitors fire trip alarms, status of lifts, potable and recycled water usage meters, mechanical & domestic gas usage meters, switchboard multi function meters & hydraulic services.

Project outcomes

Provision of an easy to use web based graphical user interface allowing the facilities staff to operate the HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis with minimal interaction with the BMCS vendor.

Centralising of the system to the UWS main BMCS server which houses over 25 off “Controlworks” installed BMCS systems across multiple campuses at Richmond, Bankstown, Parramatta and Kingswood allowing staff to view the system from any connected PC within the UWS network at anytime.

Real time monitoring and alarm management of all HVAC equipment
Dynamic and historical trend logging of all critical connected control points enabling quick and efficient diagnosis of any issues.

 

Case Study - Roseville Ladies College - Joy Yeo Music Auditorium

Roseville Ladies CollegeRoseville College is an independent, Anglican day school for girls, located in the suburb of Roseville, on the North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.  Established by Isobel Davies in 1908, Roseville has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for approximately 820 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. 


The state-of-the-art Joy Yeo Performing Arts Centre offers a stunning performance and learning space, which features a 356-seat auditorium with grand piano and full stage production facilities, a versatile specialist Drama Studio and Theatre, a specialist Music and Recording Studio, and multi-purpose rooms with sprung dance floors and sound proofing for dance and music tuition/practice (or other classes in performance and cultural disciplines). The facility also shares a commercial grade catering kitchen with the Hall, and contains an additional computer laboratory. It was opened in 2008 during Roseville College’s Centenary Celebrations.


Controlworks were contracted to supply, engineer, install and commission a Building Management Control System with centralized Tridium AX web based graphical user interface to control and monitor the main music auditorium and supporting teaching rooms HVAC equipment.
